Cam Belts and Brake Fluid Change
Cam Belts Replacement
Avoid possible expensive engine rebuild costs - by having the condition of your cam belt checked.
A snapped cam belt is no joke, particularly when you see the bill for rebuilding your engine. That's why here at Caffyns Skoda, we are able to replace your cambelt from as little as £290.00* ensuring peace of mind motoring.
- If your cam belt breaks, major damage can be caused to engine valves and pistons - damage that can be very costly to put right.
- If you do get away without major engine damage, cam belt failure will still leave you stranded and requiring breakdown recovery.
- The cam belt is made from a rubber-based compound that deteriorates over time, even with low mileage.
- Your Skoda's cam belt must be renewed no later than the maximum recommended change interval (this is dependent on the model but is typically between 40,000 and 120, 000 miles).
- Skoda also recommend your cam belt is changed every 4 years even if the maximum mileage has not been reached.
Remember, as a Skoda retailer, we will always use genuine Skoda parts which is very important when carrying out major repairs such as a cam belt.
Brake Fluid Change
Skoda recommend that a Brake Fluid Change is carried out every 2 years alongside the manufacturer's scheduled service.
It is important to ensure this procedure is carried out when required as the fluid that is used in the braking system is prone to drawing in moisture. Once moisture is in the system, it can reduce the braking efficiency of your Skoda.
A complete brake fluid change can be carried out on a 'while you wait' basis, taking approximately 30 minutes and costing you only £50.00 every two years.
